Designer - Fire Protection
Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is seeking a Designer for their Fire Protection Division. The role involves the complete design and management of fire protection projects, including creating layouts, conducting surveys, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Reviews project specifications and creates sprinkler system layouts
Performs hydraulic calculations to ensure system meets design requirements
Creates material submittal packets and organizes submittals to state and municipal agencies
Conducts surveys to minimize field conflicts
Coordinates with architects, engineers, and other trades
Conducts BIM coordination using Navisworks software
Creates shop drawings and stocklists for purchasing and fabrication
Completes As-Built drawings for finished installations
Provides technical assistance to customers and field personnel
Qualification
Required
2+ years of sprinkler system design experience, including a variety of different systems and sizes and types of projects
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and HydraCAD
NICET level 2 for water-based systems layout
Knowledge of various sprinkler systems
Understands and can apply the regulations set by NFPA
Ability to perform all aspects of a complete design within budgeted design hours
Ability to apply judgment and make decisions
Ability to effectively manage projects
Preferred
Experience with Revit
