Senior LevelMettle Ops is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will serve as a lead technical contributor responsible for mechanical and system-level design, integration, build, and test activities. Responsibilities
Apply advanced mechanical engineering principles to design, development, integration, and testing activities
Lead whole-vehicle, system, and subsystem-level mechanical design, build, integration, and test efforts
Develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and engineering documentation to clearly communicate design activities, analyses, and results to internal teams, customers, and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to drive technical alignment and operational excellence
Support technical and programmatic reviews, design milestones, and customer engagements in coordination with program management
Serve as a primary mechanical engineering interface for internal and external customers
Evaluate customer-provided technical feedback and assess impacts to mechanical design, performance, cost, and schedule
Coordinate recommended design changes with program management to ensure disciplined execution
Identify and propose process improvements to increase design efficiency, reduce errors and rework, and improve customer satisfaction
Utilize PDM systems, CAD tools, and engineering simulation and analysis methods to evaluate system-level impacts
Contribute technical expertise, best practices, and mentorship to the broader engineering team
Provide programmatic direction and technical oversight to engineers assigned to project teams
Qualification

Deep mechanical engineering expertise
Strong technical judgment
Ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and technical leadership
Experience in mechanical and system-level design, integration, build, and test activities
Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and engineering documentation
Experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams
Ability to support technical and programmatic reviews, design milestones, and customer engagements
Experience evaluating customer-provided technical feedback and assessing impacts to mechanical design, performance, cost, and schedule
Ability to coordinate recommended design changes with program management
Experience identifying and proposing process improvements
