Responsibilities

Perform a variety of analytical and administrative less difficult and complex duties relating to the provision of federal and state disaster assistance grant programs
Gather and analyze large amounts of data to develop and evaluate alternatives for a variety of administrative and program related areas
Make recommendations to management on those alternatives
Communicate effectively orally and in writing, and function in an environment with demanding and changing priorities
Work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a standard workload and responding to frequent short-term tasks

Required

Must be able to logically and creatively analyze and resolve governmental/administrative problems of an average complexity

Preferred

Experience supporting or coordinating recovery, emergency management, public policy, or grant-related programs within a governmental or public-sector environment
Demonstrated ability to research, gather, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support program evaluation, issue briefs, reports, and management recommendations
Experience reviewing documents for compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including grants, fiscal reports, and program documentation
Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting memorandums, issue briefs, agendas, reports, correspondence, and other professional materials for management or stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including internal staff, external partners, and the public, both orally and in writing
Experience organizing, tracking, and maintaining data using databases, spreadsheets, tables, and charts, with attention to accuracy, quality control, and version management
Familiarity with administrative and analytical support functions such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting notes, tracking reports, timekeeping, and responding to inquiries
Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a standard workload
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to suggest solutions, evaluate alternatives, and apply sound judgment to moderately complex administrative or program issues
Experience collaborating effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently under general supervision
Proficiency with common office productivity software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and shared document platforms) and willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Ability to support special projects, workgroups, task forces, or trainings, including research, data compilation, and presentation support; willingness to travel as needed
