Responsibilities
Develop and execute litigation strategy for complex insurance coverage disputes and class actions
Conduct advanced legal research and draft detailed memoranda on coverage issues and litigation risks
Analyze insurance policies and provide strategic coverage advice to insurer clients
Take and defend depositions in state and federal court proceedings
Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents
Attend and participate in court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
Manage, supervise, and mentor associates and paralegals on active matters
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation
Admission to practice in New York required; New Jersey admission preferred
Experience handling product liability policies and depositions
Strong state and federal court experience
Excellent academic credentials and a consistent, stable work history
Ability to manage complex matters involving multiple parties and jurisdictions
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active New York Bar admission required
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring abilities
Ability to handle sensitive, time-critical matters with discretion
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Proven problem-solving skills in complex litigation environments
Preferred
New Jersey Bar admission preferred
