Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including related disclosures (footnotes, MD&A, etc.)
Prepare standalone annual financial statements for broker-dealer entities within the organization
Create monthly cash flow statements and ensure their accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with teams across the business to gather data and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial disclosures
Support external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as needed
Conduct technical accounting research on new standards and complex transactions
Contribute to maintaining and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting
Play a key role in ongoing process improvement efforts, especially involving reporting tools and systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
At least 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with exposure to SEC reporting and technical accounting research
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and a strong attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, self-starter mindset and a commitment to doing things the right way

Preferred

Audit experience in a public company setting
Familiarity with Workiva Wdesk and Workday Financials
