Advanced Practice Provider Family Medicine/Urgent Care
The Provider Finder is a well-established urgent care group serving communities across Connecticut, and they are seeking multiple Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician Assistants to join their urgent care team. The role involves providing urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages, performing standard urgent care procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Staffing & Recruiting
Responsibilities
Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages
Perform standard urgent care procedures, including:
Suturing
Splinting
Incision & drainage
Basic orthopedic procedures
Conduct workers’ compensation evaluations and employment physicals
Utilize Experity EMR for documentation and order entry
Rotate across local urgent care clinics within the region
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, radiology staff, and MAs
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow organizational protocols
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible PA
Active Connecticut PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
Minimum 1 year of post-training experience required
Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, I&D, etc.)
Excellent clinical decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
Strong communication and patient-counseling skills
Preferred
Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or other acute care settings preferred
