Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate financial coaching services for program families
Obtain, review, and explain credit reports to participants; identify areas for improvement and create action plans to correct errors and improve credit scores
Supervise and facilitate case staffing’s with participants and the two team members to ensure coordinated support
Assist participants in setting realistic financial goals, developing budgets, and tracking income and expenses
Support participants in opening checking and savings accounts, establishing emergency funds, and building healthy banking relationships
Teach financial literacy topics such as saving, credit use, debt management, and avoiding predatory lending
Monitor participants’ progress toward goals and document outcomes using program tracking tools
Collaborate with staff to integrate financial education into other supportive services (housing, employment, and family stability)
Maintain confidentiality and ensure all financial information is handled securely and ethically
Prepare monthly progress reports and success stories for program management and funders
Stay informed about community resources and financial assistance programs that benefit participants
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Social Work, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial coaching, counseling, or case management
Knowledge of personal finance, budgeting, credit, and banking systems
Strong communication, motivational, and teaching skills
Ability to work compassionately with families overcoming housing instability
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data tracking systems
Preferred
Experience with credit report analysis and goal planning
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred but not required
