Responsibilities
Calendar all court dates, deadlines, and reminders
Prepare and file and serve pleadings, motions, RFOs, proofs of service (e‑filing)
Draft simple declarations, notices, subpoenas, and discovery shells; organize evidence/exhibits
Manage client intake, calls, emails, and follow-ups with empathy and professionalism
Maintain organized digital files, naming conventions, and case binders
Billing support: time entries, expense logs, retainer tracking
Office admin: mail, supplies, scanning, vendor coordination
Qualification
Required
2+ years in family law or civil litigation support (state court)
Strong calendaring, e‑filing (LA Superior), and document formatting
Excellent written communication; high attention to detail
Tech: Adobe, Word, Excel, Google Workspace; case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase) a plus
In‑person reliability; discreet with sensitive matters
A paralegal certificate or a bachelor's degree
Experience: family law or civil litigation: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: Torrance, CA 90501 (Required)
Work Location: In person
Preferred
Family law forms expertise (FL‑100, FL‑150, FL‑300, FL‑305, FL‑190, etc.)
Discovery support experience (form/special interrogatories, RFPs, RFAs)
Spanish or another second language
