Responsibilities
Co-lead defense and impact litigation against institutions, corporations, and state actors
Develop legal strategy for cases intended to set precedent or shift power dynamics
Participate in firm governance, policy-setting, and structural design
Build relationships with community organizations, experts, and aligned movements
Help define the firm’s ethical boundaries, not just its legal tactics
Qualification
Required
Are a licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Have experience in litigation, defense, civil rights, disability law, or public interest law
Are dissatisfied with performative justice and symbolic reform
Can operate without needing constant institutional validation
Understand that building something principled takes time, friction, and resolve
Preferred
Prior founding experience is helpful but not required
