Sr. Electronic Security Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Collaborate with government and contracting team leadership to
Manage the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors
Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts
Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed within budget and within scope of the contract
Adhere to and ensure project personnel and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards, internal policies, and customer requirements regarding health and safety
Understand project and contract scope; actively pursue growth opportunities that will help the customer achieve desired outcomes
Help prepare and approve cost estimates, contract terms & conditions, and technical responses to client requests for information, bids, and proposals
Ensure technicians, subcontractors and other site personnel complete assigned work per established standards, and thoroughly communicate the services performed and completion criteria to customers
Analyze financial reporting and project schedule to proactively address potential problems
Effectively communicate project progress, issues and financial status to leadership as required
Provide periodic project status updates, and monthly revenue, cost, and gross margin forecasts
Manage risk, establish project recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation
Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements
Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned
Coordinate customer-training requirements
Qualification
Required
Secret clearance or above
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
Five (5) or more years of direct project management experience in the building construction or facilities maintenance industry
Technical competency and experience working with commercial or industrial Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include evaluation of contractual scope, specification interruption, change order management, basic design, and installation standards
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing project financials (P&L management experience)
Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and Visio preferred
Preferred
Management experience with government agencies project requirements
Experience managing large projects (more than $1 million)
Experience working with SCIF environments
Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and government procurement standards
Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors
PgMP, PMI or PMP certification strongly preferred
Industry Electronic/Integrated Security System certification, licenses, and/or training (Softwarehouse C-cure 9000, Lenel, Bosch BVMS, Vindicator, etc.)
