Responsibilities
Partner with technology stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions
Design scalable technical solutions aligned to business needs and architecture roadmap
Implement test-driven development and continuous integration and delivery in support of DevOps
Prioritize work and deliver in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality
Adapt to evolving technologies and identify technical debt with remediation recommendations
Lead production rollout activities for operational and analytical databases
Communicate effectively with extended teams and collaborate across squads
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
Strong SQL for querying and data validation, including optimization and performance tuning
Advanced SnowSQL and experience with Snowflake databases
Proven experience with AWS services, including Batch and S3
5+ years developing ETL applications using Java and Spring Batch
Experience with job scheduling tools, with Control-M preferred
Proven data analysis skills and strong data modeling experience in Dimensional or Data Vault models
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Maven, Jenkins, Git/Stash, Ansible, and Docker
Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
Ability to manage ambiguity and deliver in a fast-paced setting with strong interpersonal skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in a technology-related field such as Engineering or Computer Science
ETL experience must be in Java Spring Batch. Informatica-only ETL experience is not applicable for this role
Preferred
Python development experience
Containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS Lambda development
Snowflake expertise beyond core usage
Financial domain experience
AWS-related certifications are a plus
