MatchBukh Talent Solutions is partnering with a respected Bay Area nonprofit organization dedicated to community enrichment to identify a hands-on and strategic Senior Finance & Administration Leader. This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management and administrative operations, guiding a small team in accounting, HR, and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage all finance and administrative operations including accounting, payroll, budgeting, HR, and purchasing
Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare timely reports for executive leadership and the Board
Develop and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and fiscal procedures
Lead the annual budget and forecasting process; analyze financial performance and make strategic recommendations
Manage cash flow, investments, and reserves in collaboration with the Finance Committee
Oversee annual audits, tax preparation, and compliance reporting
Serve as a key liaison to the Board’s Finance and Audit Committees
Partner with Development to ensure proper tracking and reporting of restricted funds and grants
Supervise and mentor staff in finance, HR, and administrative roles; oversee benefits administration and employee relations
Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
Contribute to executive leadership discussions and organizational planning

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in AccountingFinancial management experienceGAAPNonprofit accounting experienceAccounting systems proficiencyAnalytical skillsLeadership skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial and administrative management experience, including staff supervision
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and compliance
Experience managing budgets, audits, and financial reporting in a mission-driven organization
Proficiency with accounting and payroll systems (Blackbaud Financial Edge and ADP preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Must reside within commuting distance of San Mateo or San Francisco and be available to work on-site full-time Monday to Friday
