Responsibilities
Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the commercial building sector, focusing on HVAC and building automation systems (BAS)
Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients, explaining the benefits of Gradient's heat pump technology and its integration with building control systems
Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and facility managers in the Northeast market
Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution, including site surveys, proposal development, and technical presentations
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Northeast's HVAC controls market
Assist in building and supporting relationships with channel partners, including system integrators and controls specialists
Learn and utilize knowledge of Northeast state and utility rebate programs to support sales efforts
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or technical support within the HVAC controls and building automation industry
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems (BAS), and control strategies
Familiarity with integration protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus)
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
Proficiency in CRM software
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a related technical field
Willingness to travel within the Northeast region as needed
An eagerness to learn, and a passion for sustainable technologies
