Responsibilities

Environmental Health and Safety Manager provides leadership, technical expertise, and guidance to staff to aid in the elimination of workforce injuries, provide environmental management, and ensure regulatory compliance
The manager provides key inputs to the overall strategy for the EH&S function and ensures activities are effectively managed and continuously improved to align with Textron Corporate EHS policies and procedures, OSHA and all other applicable regulatory agencies that govern any of Bell’s sites
Overall organization responsibility includes staffing and physical responsibility for the sites that are assigned to the manager by the VP Quality and EH&S, Director, or Sr. EHS Manager

Required

At least 5 plus years of related work experience to include health, emergency response, industrial safety, manufacturing, or aerospace and defense
First aid certification required or ability to ascertain within 6 months
Must have working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state, and local environmental requirements
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with management, peers and employees
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
Must demonstrate analytical and leadership skills
Must be collaborative and possess ability to create a cooperative and inclusive work environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or related field is preferred
Other Bachelor of Science degrees are acceptable, assuming experience requirements are met and related compliance certificates are current
International experience in EHS or related field a plus
