Responsibilities
Ensure youths are transported to medical appointments, court appearances, family time in the community, cottage trips/outings and other commitments safely and reliably
Ensure the compliant operation of agency vehicles
Support the safety and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors
Adhere to New York State vehicle and traffic laws and follow agency policies
Uphold The Children’s Village's mission and values
Work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) to best serve the population
Model pro social behavior and build positive relationships with all residents and staff
Qualification
Required
Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Minimum of five years of experience operating a motor vehicle, including the five boroughs
Ability to carry out restraints as necessary
Preferred
Some college
Experience working with emotionally challenged youth and/or Juvenile Justice Programs
Experience with crisis management
