Responsibilities

Obtain required information of insurance verification and financial screening
Counsel patients or parties responsible for payment about their obligations for both Facility and Professional fees
Educate patients on their responsibilities and help them obtain financial assistance with suggested third party vendors
Accurately and compassionately explain to the patient their financial obligations during the financial counseling session

Required

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
At least 2 years of credit, collection or financial counseling experience required
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and outside agencies

Positive, driven attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile to help patients and the hospital
