Responsibilities

🧩 Design and guide microservice architecture for our evolving platform and help teams adopt modern engineering practices

🔧 Build and maintain automation pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions

🧑‍🏫 Mentor and coach engineers across teams, raising the bar for technical excellence and reliability

🚑 Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, helping ensure high availability and a smooth customer experience

📝 Conduct quality reviews of infrastructure changes and application deployments

📞 Participate in an on‑call rotation, collaborating with others to keep our systems healthy and supported

Qualification

Required

Six to nine years of experience in software infrastructure or a related area

Proficiency with scripting and programming tools such as Bash, Python, Java, and JavaScript

Deep experience with Amazon Web Services, including managed services for Kubernetes, caching, relational databases, and streaming

Strong experience with container orchestration (for example, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (for example, Terraform), and modern automation pipelines

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, such as Sumo Logic, New Relic, Honeycomb, and Amazon Web Services monitoring tools

A solid understanding of networking concepts and containerized environments

Experience working in an agile environment, using tools such as Jira, Wrike, or Rally to collaborate and deliver iteratively

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
