Responsibilities

Consult with prospective clients and lead them through the firm's proprietary Estate Planning Process
Provide expert legal advice and deliver superior Estate Planning and Asset Protection work products
Research, design, and create complex and customized estate plans
Ability to draft both basic and sophisticated estate planning documents including those which incorporate estate and income tax planning including irrevocable trusts
Experience catering to and addressing the planning needs of federally taxable estates
Consult with potential clients to ascertain their needs and decide on the next steps
Engage in matter management to ensure all cases move forward in a timely manner

Required

Prior estate law experience
Admitted to practice law in North Carolina
Excellent academic credentials, creative analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with little to no supervision
Team player, committed to working with colleagues and clients
Strong understanding of North Carolina estate law statutes and case law
Ability to research and analyze legal issues
Proficient legal writing skills
