Responsibilities

Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups
Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders
Collaborates and leads with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies
Assists in a variety of engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations
Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads the hand over processes to the ramp and sustaining phases
Leads junior engineers in investigation of threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings
Gathers and correlates basic data using engineering studies and procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems
Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field
Seven or more years of experience in engineering within operations, production, construction or maintenance environments
Possess a valid Class C Driver's License

Preferred

Experience evaluating emerging EV charging technologies, such as advanced DCFC systems, high-power charging solutions, modular storage integration, and bidirectional charging
Experience managing other engineers in a team environment to accomplish large scale EV Charging rollouts
Electrical, Civil, Software or other comparable engineering degrees
Experience participating in design reviews to ensure charger placement, equipment selection, and electrical infrastructure to support fleet operational requirements
Experience with configuring charger management system to enable efficient fleet operations and peak load shifting to allow flexible circuit interconnections
Experience in establishing and managing equipment standards, which includes EV chargers, Switchgear, microgrid control systems to enable business resiliency
Experience diagnosing why DC Chargers are offline and developing operational procedures to online
Experienced with business resiliency planning for fleet charging, including portable or temporary charging deployments (e.g., RESS units, skid-mounted chargers, mobile trailers)
Understanding of DERMS and DER communications/protocols (2030.5, DNP3, Modbus,etc)
Experience with developing control system logic using energy storage, solar and generators
Familiarity with ISO15118-2,20, IEEE 2030.5 CSIP, SCE Rule 21, UL3141 and inverter-based resource management
Experience supporting pilot projects, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept evaluations
