INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER
NAVWAR is seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer to develop critical artifacts and establish new policies for Strategic Weapon System testing. The role involves creating test documentation, verifying alignment across branches for test activities, and integrating testing into the Columbia Test program.

Responsibilities
You will develop critical artifacts and establishment of new policies, procedures and guidelines for SSP in the formulation of approaches to new Strategic Weapon System (SWS) system level test development, planning and execution operations
You will develop processes and procedures for System Performance Testing, External Test Community Engagement, System Test and Evaluation Strategy, and Strategic Weapon System Certification Activities
You will develop the following test documentation: Integrated Test Program Plan, Integration and Test Implementation Plan, System Test Data Management Plan, and Test Strategy, Planning and Execution document
You will verify alignment across branches for test activities and development of an integrated testing approach to verify system level requirements
You will participate in Test and Evaluation Working Level Integrated Product Team meetings to develop a Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) for future programs
You will integrate LE2 testing into the Columbia Test program

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as an Engineer leading across an organization the development/ establishment of policies, procedures and guidelines for system testing verification techniques and operations to verify system level requirements
Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering
