Metallurgical Engineering Co-Op 2027
Scot Forge Company has an opportunity for students to join their Metallurgy/ Material Science Co-op Program. This program offers extensive training in metallurgy and real-world problem-solving experiences while working closely with metallurgists and other employees on various projects.

Responsibilities
Literature searches
Investigating failed components
Witnessing forgings being created
Metallographic preparation and interpretation
Mechanical testing of materials for production or R&D
Analyzing data and problem solving utilizing a scientific approach
Writing technical summaries and presenting results to the metallurgy department
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years completed in a University undergraduate materials science/ metallurgical engineering program
Students currently enrolled in a Graduate level program are strongly encouraged to apply
Students must have an overall grade point average of 3.0
Students must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
Good communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
