Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture
Design, build, and deliver large-scale, distributed, and highly available cloud infrastructure systems from the ground up
Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize work, and drive timely project delivery
Apply deep technical expertise to solve complex problems, perform troubleshooting, and optimize system performance
Champion professional software engineering best practices, including code reviews, continuous integration/deployment, and robust testing
Manage hiring, onboarding, retention, and career development for team members, providing coaching and growth opportunities
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to elevate product capabilities and scalability
Ensure adherence to the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols throughout software development and operations
Support a dynamic and agile work environment, delivering results in a fast-paced and evolving setting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
3+ years of management or team lead experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed services
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals
Strong understanding of data models and distributed persistence technologies
Thorough understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities
Preferred
Experience in infrastructure as code platforms like Terraform will be a plus
Experience building and managing public cloud services

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
