Responsibilities

You will directly manage the duties and responsibilities of all personnel assigned to the division which is responsible for planning, synchronization, integrating and campaigning through the operationalization of SOCPAC’s three Lines of Effort
You will assist with the management, staffing and approval of all SOCPAC CONOPs
You will assist with leading bi-annual Consolidated Special Operations Conference (CSOC) communicating COMSOCPAC strategic vision and priorities based on the campaign support plan and LOEs
You will prepare for all crisis responsibilities by maintaining expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in Joint Special Operations doctrine, policies, procedures, Crisis Action Planning and F3EAD methodology and participation in exercises
You will serve as the Integrated Survey Program (ISP) Theater Manager, providing executive level planning, coordination, de-confliction, execution, assessment, analysis, special studies, reports and briefings
You will serve as the alternate Resource Advisor (RA) and Authorizing Official (AO) for the Defense Travel System (DTS) for the J3 directorate

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Understanding the complexities of Joint SOF operations, capabilities and resourcing; Developing supporting plans and orders; Leading routine battle rhythm events and preparing for all crisis responsibilities by maintaining expert knowledge in Joint Special Operations doctrine, policies, and procedures; Demonstrating knowledge in legal requirements affecting domestic and foreign employment considering law, morals, ethics, politics, culture, and history that impacts decision-making; and Demonstrating knowledge in the Integrated Survey Program (ISP) mission, role, planning and conduct of a survey
