Responsibilities
Advise on legal aspects of Alibaba Cloud’s international expansion, key focus is on ensuring compliance and leading compliance projects as well as commercial contract and negotiation support for North and South America region
Provide advice to business teams on legal aspects of new business models and strategies, business operations and marketing activities
Negotiate, draft and review contracts and commercial agreements
Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative ways and address risks with flexible solutions
Qualification
Required
Legal qualification to practice in US jurisdiction
8-15 years post-qualification experience at a law firm and/or corporation
Highly motivated, have a strong sense of ownership, are inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, and can demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
High integrity and sincere desire to collaborate with others
Preferred
Technology sector experience or technology education background would be a plus
Sincere interest in technology, innovation and business
