Structural Engineering Project Engineer
McNamara • Salvia is a dynamic and creative structural engineering firm with projects across the United States and internationally. They are seeking a Structural Engineering Project Engineer to engage in the design of complex buildings and manage various aspects of structural engineering design and construction.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Engineering and coordination
Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence
Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFI’s and field observation
Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Recent PE license or working towards license in near future
2 to 5 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures
Knowledge of building fundamentals and design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI
Proficient with structural programs such as RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT
Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communications
Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment
Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
Collaborate well within a larger project team
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
Specific experience with wind, seismic, building motion, tall buildings and performance-based-design is desirable
