Responsibilities
Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations as the company’s Financial Controller, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Manage work in progress schedules, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, and cost accounting functions
Oversee the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
Ensure full compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies
Direct general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and supporting documentation
Analyze project costs, margin performance, and cost structure trends
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal control enhancements as the Financial Controller
Supervise and mentor accounting team members to ensure high performance and accuracy
Coordinate with external auditors, tax partners, and other advisors
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen reporting quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience serving as a Financial Controller or senior accounting leader
Advanced expertise in: Work in progress (WIP) accounting, Percentage‑of‑completion accounting, Cost accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines and lead accounting operations effectively
Preferred
Prior experience as a Financial Controller in a project‑driven, manufacturing, construction, or cost‑intensive environment
Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and financial reporting platforms
Demonstrated success implementing workflow or process improvements as a Financial Controller
Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial systems
