Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
Evaluate existing systems to identify issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability
Work with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop technical solutions
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of system changes and developments
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing mainframe applications
Assist and guide junior developers or team members as needed
Qualification
Required
10+ years in mainframe development and support
COBOL programming
CICS transaction processing
DB2 database management
JCL scripting and job control
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Clear technical documentation
Experience mentoring junior team members is a plus
