Responsibilities

Identify, assess and pursue new partnership opportunities, through various outreach efforts
Organize and oversee or serve as representative of the Food Bank at partner and community/committee/council meetings, outreach events
Coordinate, support and monitor new and existing program partners and track program progress
Communicate with program partners and internal team (Operations, Logistics, Volunteer Department, etc.) regarding orders, delivery/pick-up and distribution
Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new program and distribution methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Adapt to or make recommendations for changes in program development and distributions
Support the growth and development of Food Bank programs in areas such as grant funding requirements, state and local food safety requirements, program compliance/budget, etc
Work with managers and external partners to ensure compliance with food safety as well as nutritional and dietary Food Bank requirements
Provide timely reporting to management
Oversee data reporting and submission, including organizing data for reports
Draft and place agency food and produce orders in accordance with budget
Where applicable, create delivery schedules and/or food order transfer sheets
Coordinate and/or assist with the setup and breakdown of distribution and loading/delivery areas, ensuring a safe and orderly service area
Where applicable, assist with the distribution flow, ensuring that the area is clear for foot traffic

Required

Computer experience and proficiency with Microsoft products
Ability to both carry and lift 30 to 40 pounds
Possess a valid California Driver's License and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle. Must be able to travel within Los Angeles County as required. Work assignments may include various facilities and hubs across Los Angeles County, including locations in Los Angeles and the City of Industry, CA. Flexibility to commute between Food Bank facilities as needed is essential

Preferred

College degree in Business Administration, Communication Studies, Public Relations or similar preferred; four (4) years related experience; or combination of education and experience
