This role involves hands-on audit sampling, schedule reconciliations, and direct coordination with auditors, providing an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a science-driven finance team.

Responsibilities
Pull audit samples from QuickBooks, Bill.com, and internal databases
Locate corresponding invoices/entries and tie to cash or bank statements
Confirm documents meet auditor requirements
Prepare and reconcile prepaid expense schedules
Reconcile unbilled revenue and deferred revenue schedules
Validate formulas, links, and source data within audit schedules
Ensure consistency between supporting documentation and Excel summaries
Support auditors with follow‑up documentation requests
Maintain clean, organized audit evidence files
Review the audit request list
Identify sample selections and begin pulling corresponding documentation
Reconcile initial schedules (prepaids, unbilled, deferred revenue)
Build and validate Excel schedules for auditor review
Work directly with auditors onsite, responding quickly to sample requests
Provide supporting documentation for all selected transactions
Tie transactions to QuickBooks, Bill.com, bank statements, and internal PM systems
Confirm all schedules tie out and resolve discrepancies
Deliver clear communication and timely follow‑up to maintain audit momentum
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
Hands-on experience with Bill.com
Prior experience supporting audits, including sampling and documentation
Ability to pull, analyze, and tie samples to bank statements
Strong understanding of audit sampling methodology
Experience with prepaids, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue
Solid Excel skills (validating formulas, confirming linked data)
Ability to operate with minimal onboarding or hand-holding
Preferred
Prior public accounting or manufacturing audit experience
Familiarity with Reich or similar project management tools
Exposure to internal databases or construction/engineering project systems
