HR/Payroll Administrator
Transdev North America is a leader in mobility, operating transportation systems across the U.S. The HR/Payroll Administrator will manage payroll functions, benefits enrollments, and various HR clerical tasks while supporting the MTS Contract.

Responsibilities
Compiles and transmits payroll to ADP (such as hours worked, insurance, and union dues to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records) and enters data or computes and posts wages, and reconciles errors, to maintain payroll records
Prepares, verifies, and processes invoices and coding payment documents; prepares batches of invoices for data entry; corrects errors
Responsible for the A/P function, including processing of invoices for payment in a timely manner
Maintains a wide variety of payroll information (e.g. direct deposits, pre-notes, W-4s, leave balances, salary, levies, garnishments, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
Responds to employee questions regarding all types of payroll questions, including paid-time analysis, PTO/Vacation/Sick balances and payouts, and pay increase issues (per CBA)
Accurately track attendance for staff-non union employees
Manages Transdev San Diego’s leave program (s) for represented and non-represented employees. This includes administering and processing leave requests and return to work protocols consistently and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, state and federal laws
Responds to employee questions or concerns regarding leave issues
Identifies and advises management of trends, problems, and issues as well as recommended course of action; informs management of new procedures and ideas for continuous process improvement
Assists with the employee life cycle process to include application, pre-interview investigation and screening, hiring, new employee setup, payroll, leave of absence, and resignation/termination processing
Maintains all active and term personnel files, medical files I-9 files, etc
Responds to all unemployment claim filings via unemployment insurance consulting firm
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Ability to accurately operate a 10 key calculator by touch
Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures
Requires the ability to work amid constant interruptions and the ability to prioritize and deal with time pressures
Travel requirement (50%): Commute between Chula Vista and El Cajon office as needed
Must submit to drug testing, and a criminal background check
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
Preferred
Two (2) years relevant human resources experience, preferred
Two (2) years of relevant payroll experience, including ADP/VDS experience, preferred
Bilingual English and Spanish- preferred
