Mid LevelQuote Factory is seeking a Carrier Compliance Manager to enhance their compliance capabilities. The role involves managing carrier onboarding and qualification processes, ensuring that shipments are only tendered to compliant carriers, and collaborating with various teams to mitigate risks associated with carrier usage.

Responsibilities
Execute carrier onboarding, qualification and fraud-prevention processes to ensure carriers meet company standards before dispatching to prevent loads from being tendered to non-compliant carriers or unauthorized contacts
Interact with third-party compliance tools and providers for carrier onboarding, insurance tracking, monitoring, identify verification, etc
Coordinate the work of other team members who assist with compliance tasks
Maintain carrier records in the transportation management system (TMS)
Support claim prevention by confirming carriers meet cargo insurance requirements and documenting coverage details for high-value or special shipments
Provide input into carrier compliance policies, carrier risk assessment and preferred carrier programs
Maintain documentation about carrier compliance policies and procedures
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, legal and finance to balance speed, service and risk in carrier usage decisions
Lead carrier compliance training for team members
Organize and communicate an on-call rotation for essential compliance tasks outside of normal business hours
Serve as the escalation point for carrier compliance issues
Organize activities in response to reports of stolen or hostage shipments
Monitor exceptions related to potential fraud signals like rate cons signed in other countries (or by VPN), invalid mobile phone numbers for drivers and tracking alerts
Monitor email inbox for compliance and respond or reassign messages
Manage carrier performance feedback loops with operations (service failures, late pickups/deliveries, claims patterns) as inputs to compliance status
Measure and report progress and results
Collaborate with development and product teams to provide feedback on systems related to carrier compliance, leading to product enhancements
Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and partners
Participate in continuous training to stay updated on product changes and enhancements
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in a carrier compliance role with a freight brokerage
Knowledge and experience around avoiding and responding to fraud and theft events
Strong understanding of software applications and ability to learn new software quickly
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment and adapt to changing schedules
Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
