Accountant - Budget
Riverside Health is seeking a Budget Accountant to utilize independent judgement and analytical skills in a computerized environment. The role involves preparing and analyzing budgets, tax returns, and cost reports while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
Complete complex accounting analysis requiring the application of accounting theory independently
Monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements with independent judgement
Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal/State and Local tax returns, reporting to the state COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis with independent judgement
Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations. Manage and assess priorities and deadlines with independent judgement
Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions performed in the area of responsibility. Recommend and implements improvements
Serve as a liaison with regulatory and taxing agencies, external consultants, auditors, and RHS leadership and administrators
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree, Accounting or Finance/Business with concentration in Accounting (Required)
1 year Accounting experience with Analysis/Budget/Financial Statements (Required)
Preferred
Masters Degree, Related field (Preferred)
Prior experience in Healthcare Accounting/Finance (Preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - The AICPA (Preferred)
