Assistant Program Director
CAMPING MINISTRIES OF THE CAROLINAS INC provides outstanding camping experiences and retreats, focusing on personal and spiritual growth. The Assistant Program Director will support the design and implementation of camp activities, supervise staff and volunteers, and collaborate on strategic planning and community outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support the design, coordination, and implementation of camp activities and programs
Supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring the quality, safety, and excellence of programming
Assist in planning retreats and conferences
Manage schedules and support an inclusive and positive group environment
Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and community outreach initiatives
Qualification
Required
Experience in summer camp leadership, program planning, event coordination, and outdoor recreational activities
Leadership skills, including supervising staff and fostering team collaboration
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Background in working with children, youth, and diverse community groups
Capability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring safety and program quality
Knowledge of or interest in environmental education and Christian retreat/conference planning
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, Social Work, or a related field
Ministry experience
First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
