Responsibilities
Financial Oversight: Manage the monthly financial close, including general ledger entries, accruals, and adjustments
Compliance & GAAP: Ensure all financial data and reporting strictly adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Leadership: Directly supervise and mentor team members in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments
Strategic Support: Assist with cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting to guide organizational planning
Internal Controls: Maintain and implement effective internal controls to protect organizational assets and enhance accuracy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience; this is an ideal role for a high-performing Senior Accountant looking for a title promotion
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Financial Edge (Blackbaud) is a significant plus; advanced Excel skills are a must
This is a conservative and traditional environment; candidates must be comfortable with professional grooming standards
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including FBI Fingerprinting
