Non Destructive (NDT) Test Technician – Level 3 or Level 4
Northrop Grumman is a leader in aerospace technology, and they are seeking a Non Destructive Test Technician to join their team in Magna, UT. The role involves performing non-destructive testing on composite rocket motors and inspecting materials for defects using various techniques.

Responsibilities
This job primarily performs non-destructive testing (NDT) radiographic inspections (RT) on composite rocket motors
Inspects composite materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods with radiographic techniques
Requires certifications in RT Non-Destructive testing in accordance with regulations
In house part and material inspections are periodically performed using ultrasonic (UT), liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), and eddy current (ET) inspection methods
These inspections can be in different locations including confined space locations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience for Level 3
No clearance required to start
1+ years of documented hours as an NDT Level 2 inspector in at least two NDT methods; in order of preference: Radiography (RT), Ultrasound (UT), Eddy Current (ET), Dye Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT). RECORDS REQUIRED
NAS410 qualified Level 2 classroom training/experience, or equivalent, in radiographic methodology, either in progress or completed
Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, and lifting up to 50lbs
Must be willing to work a rotating schedule between day and night shift
Willing to occasionally work overtime and flexible/changing schedules including weekends as required to meet schedule demands
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience for Level 4

3+ years of documented hours as an NDT Level 2 inspector in at least two NDT methods; in order of preference: Radiography (RT), Ultrasound (UT), Eddy Current (ET), Dye Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT). RECORDS REQUIRED

Experience and familiarity with inspection/interpretation of engineering requirements
Experience working with automated radiographic inspection systems
Experience with handheld UT pulse echo units (USM GO, USN 60) and or phased array (MX2, Veo)
Experience with eddy current weld and aluminum tubing inspections (NORTEC 500)
