Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–4 accounting professionals
Oversee all property and corporate accounting functions
Establish scalable processes, internal controls, and accounting policies
Partner with asset management and property management teams
Full oversight of accounting for industrial NNN and commercial assets
Review monthly property financials, CAM reconciliations, and lease abstracts
Monitor rent rolls, recoveries, and expense allocations
Ensure accurate accruals, revenue recognition, and property-level reporting
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Consolidate multi-entity financials
Lead budget preparation and variance analysis
Support investor and lender reporting requirements
Serve as the Yardi subject matter expert (required)
Optimize system workflows, reporting, and controls within Yardi
Implement process improvements and automation where possible
Oversee year-end audit and tax preparation process
Ensure compliance with GAAP and real estate accounting standards
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation
Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
Assist with underwriting analysis and due diligence
Play a key role in building the finance function toward a future CFO structure
Qualification
Required
7+ years of accounting experience, with strong real estate industry focus
Direct experience with industrial NNN and commercial property accounting
Advanced Yardi experience (non-negotiable)
Experience managing and developing accounting staff
Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate financial reporting
