Responsibilities
Independently determines safe and appropriate patient bed assignments based on patient admission criteria and documented diagnosis
Prioritizes bed placement using age specific requirements, diagnosis and condition of patient
Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines for admissions of patients as well as internal transfer of patients
Accurately processes admissions, transfer and discharges in the clinical information system
Monitors patient admissions and makes changes to patient status as appropriate requiring multiple system updating
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year as a Coordinator, Patient Access or Patient Placement in a hospital or healthcare setting
