Education Management
Responsibilities
Intentionally observe mentor teacher planning and implementing teaching and instructional strategies rooted in grade level expectations and standards
Set a positive, culturally responsive classroom culture that supports all students
Collaborate with mentor teacher to plan and implement instructional practices
Plan and lead all aspects of instruction and teaching during 'Take Over for Fieldwork' experience using grade level standards and classroom curriculum
Regularly assess students and provide differentiated instruction when needed
Substitute teach within the school 1x a week
Attend all school site professional development and Avance Residency Seminar
Attend LMU coursework and complete all credential requirements (CSETS, EdTPA, fieldwork, etc)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from accredited institution conferred by June 2026
Committed to teaching within Central and South Los Angeles
Demonstrates a passion and commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Preferred
Demonstrates successful experience working with TK-12 students
