Start in 2026 SummerFocal Point, LLC is offering a Cyber Security Summer Intern position for Summer 2026 in West Hartford, CT. The intern will assist the Information Security Director with various aspects of the company's information security program, including documentation, vulnerability analysis, compliance checking, and incident response.

Responsibilities
Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
Analyze and track remediation of system and application vulnerabilities across critical business systems
Provide compliance checking for security tools installations and configurations
Research and evaluate applications and services for strategic improvements to security stack, detailing important features within each different application or service
Work with the Incident Response team to discover, triage, and remediate security incidents
Participate in daily team meetings and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or other related area with good academic standing
College Junior or higher preferred
Working knowledge of EDR, DDoS, network detection and traffic monitoring tools
Maintain good (digital) citizenship
Uphold, enforce, and abide by all company policies
Strong writing and communication skills
