The Real Estate Intern will assist in the analysis, valuation, and management of prospective borrowers and strategic investments, and will be involved in market research and underwriting processes.

Responsibilities
Assist in research, due diligence, construction budget analysis, and loan evaluation
Working closely with multiple departments in the organization including legal, underwriting, accounting, and finance
Review and analyze appraisals, environmental reports, surveys, zoning and property condition reports
Prepare analytical and tracking reports by updating portfolio data into cloud-based programs
Collaborate with multiple departments to assess the risks, opportunities and weaknesses of loan collateral
Participate in Loan Pipeline meetings, Underwriting meetings, Investment Committee, and Post-Closing meetings
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of undergraduate degree completed
Degree concentrations in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Real Estate
Strong quantitative skills including fluency with Microsoft Excel
Mature, self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Collaborative team player with leadership capability
