Technical Sales Manager

Confidential company is seeking a driven Technical Sales Manager to join their expanding team in the electrical industry. In this role, you will collaborate with a nationwide distribution network to accelerate growth and market presence while taking full ownership of sales and marketing functions.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive five-year strategic sales plan, including advertising budgets, media channels, and promotional materials
Oversee national field sales operations, inside sales teams, and customer service personnel. Evaluate and manage our network of distributors and independent sales representatives
Implement aggressive product line strategies and accumulate vital marketing data. Monitor competitor activity and market conditions to forecast bookings and achieve goals
Establish sales territories, manage expenses, and control budgets. Oversee customer contract pricing to maximize profitability while adhering to corporate policies
Serve as the primary contact for major accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction through the implementation of account management best practices
Contribute to cost reduction programs and submit Engineering Project Requests (EPR) for new product development based on market feedback
Travel approximately 35% of the time to maintain contact with key customers

Required

MUST have Manufacturing experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience
10 years of sales and marketing management experience working with both direct sales forces and manufacturer's representatives
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/MRP sales processes
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to prospect and nurture accounts
Highly organized, achievement-oriented, and capable of managing complex sales cycles

An MBA is preferred
