Operations Analyst - Contract Role
Optimus is a growing organization seeking an Operations Analyst to support process buildout, financial tracking, and operational continuity. This newly created role involves managing financial data, improving tracking tools, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure accurate records as the business expands.
Responsibilities
Support senior operations leadership by managing financial and operational tracking
Own and maintain spreadsheets related to project costs, revenues, and P&L
Perform reconciliations across multiple data sources and support financial planning activities
Design and improve tracking tools and workflows as processes mature
Coordinate with project teams and engineers to gather, validate, and translate data
Document processes, procedures, and system designs; assist with training and knowledge transfer
Support vendor coordination and ensure records are accurate and auditable
Provide coverage and continuity during absences by keeping operations organized and documented
Qualification
Required
5-10 years of experience in financial analysis, finance operations, or operational analytics
Strong Excel skills required
Experience tracking costs, revenues, and financial performance (not a pure accounting role)
Comfortable designing your own tracking systems and improving evolving processes
Able to work independently, raise questions, and learn quickly in a growing environment
Strong documentation and communication skills
Candidates are required to be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US
Preferred
Tableau experience helpful
Power BI a plus, not required
