Responsibilities
Perform construction labor under the direction of the Foreman (underground utilities + site support)
Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for storm/sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains
Install and repair water and sewer lines, maintaining alignment and long-term durability
Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth using hand tools and compactors
Load, unload, transport, and stage tools, equipment, and materials
Operate tools/equipment as qualified
Signal equipment operators for safe alignment/movement and maintain awareness of all jobsite hazards
Flag traffic in/around work zones as needed
Maintain a clean jobsite and clean equipment to eliminate hazards and keep production moving
Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman
Qualification
Required
1+ year civil construction experience with exposure to pipe/utility installation
Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, work on your feet, bend/kneel, and climb on/off/under equipment
Comfort using hand tools and working safely under jobsite/trade safety rules
Reliable transportation and the ability to work in a fast-paced field environment
Preferred
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Experience with trenching/backfill/compaction, grade checking, concrete support, traffic control/flagging
Familiarity working around underground utilities and reading basic layout direction from leads/foreman
