Facilities Compliance Coordinator
MUSC Health is focused on maintaining high standards in healthcare facilities compliance. The Facilities Compliance Coordinator ensures that MUHA facilities meet all applicable regulatory and safety requirements while overseeing contractors and managing utilities compliance programs.

Responsibilities
Ensure MUHA facilities meet all applicable regulatory and safety requirements under limited supervision
Oversee facilities work and contractors
Manage utilities compliance programs
Support system service and construction activities
Ensure compliance with AHJ regulations (including TJC, OSHA, DHEC, CMS, and NFPA) in coordination with Risk Management and the Regulatory Team
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree and two years relevant experience or a high school diploma and four years relevant experience required
Strong knowledge of healthcare facility codes and fire/life safety systems
Experience with Joint Commission surveys
Must be able to read and interpret MEP and fire/life safety construction drawings and floor plans
Must be well organized and able to multi-task several activities at once
Demonstrated a high standard for accuracy and neatness so presented documents and reports are easily read and interpreted by others
Must be able to develop and present educational programs related to safety and compliance
Must have strong communications, relationship, facilitation and presentation skills
Must have proven organizational skills with the ability to plan time effectively, balance multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred
Knowledge of applicable codes; including NFPA, SCDHEC, and Joint Commission regulations
Experience and knowledge of Fire and Life Safety systems such as fire alarm and fire protection systems
Experience in Joint Commission and their triennial survey
