Senior Civil/Structural Engineer - temp to perm position

3+ years expDND Staffing LLC is hiring for two levels of engineers to support in-house design and structural analysis of buildings and major industrial facilities. The role includes full design ownership, from analysis through technical documentation and construction support post-design.

Responsibilities
Analyze and design steel, concrete, and masonry structures in accordance with AISC, ACI, ASCE, and NYC Building Codes
Develop and prepare detailed engineering design packages, technical drawings, and construction specifications
Conduct cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations
Review and approve construction administration documents and respond to technical issues during construction
Provide technical field support for construction and operational issues
Lead and coordinate with external consultants and vendors as needed
Prepare capital project documentation including budgets, schedules, and bid evaluations
Support emergency response situations on a 24/7 rotational basis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 3-4 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 8+ years (Master's Degree preferred)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Sr. Engineer should be able to contribute independently
Strong proficiency in structural analysis, technical design, and engineering documentation
Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex engineering problems
Clear and effective communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
Commitment to technical excellence, safety, and accountability
Preferred
Hands-on design experience with high-rise, heavy industrial, or plant / power generation structures
Familiarity with structural modeling tools such as STAAD, SAP2000, AutoCAD, or MathCAD
Background in building envelope inspections, facade, and roof system design
Experience preparing and reviewing construction documents, technical drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of field engineering inspection, site conditions, and design modifications based on field issues
