Responsibilities
Develop and maintain wholesale financial models assessing volume, margin, cost per loan economics, and channel earnings
Partner with capital markets and pricing teams to evaluate pricing competitiveness versus market, incorporating margin sensitivity analysis against rate/credit/product shifts
Analyze broker performance: pull-through, lock fallout, cycle times, file quality, partner profitability, and repeat business patterns
Model account executive (AE) performance and compensation, including bonus tiers, pay-for-quality scorecards, and Non-QM incentives
Partner with Operations to quantify cycle-time savings, file touches, and the financial impact of underwriting efficiency and technology adoption (AI/automation/offshore)
Provide monthly MBR materials, channel scorecards, and P&L variance explanations
Support strategic initiatives such as new product rollouts, expansion into Non-QM, and broker onboarding growth ROI analysis
Develop monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting and executive decks, including channel P&L performance, actual vs. forecast and budget variance analysis, margin and volume analytics, and key operational metrics tied to efficiency, revenue drivers, and overall channel health
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; finance or business concentration strongly preferred
4–7 years of mortgage FP&A or similar background
Advanced Excel and strong SQL and/or Tableau/Power BI skills required
Strong presentation skills with ability to present to senior leadership and sales executives
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
Preferred
Strong understanding of wholesale broker compensation, pricing tiers, and rate sheet economics preferred
