Product Lifecycle Management Engineer (Mid-level)
The Boeing Company is a leading aerospace manufacturer, and they are seeking a Product Lifecycle Management Engineer to perform change integration functions and provide technical support in Configuration Status Accounting tasks. The role involves overseeing the definition and integration of configuration and data management tasks across multiple engineering functions as the KC-46 program transitions from Development into Production phases.

Responsibilities
Collaborate and lead the development, analysis, management, and compliance verification of process and product baselines for complex products
Define, plan, coordinate, and conduct (or lead) product and subsystem-level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products
Coordinate and lead the integration of product elements and analyze and resolve issues with engineering product structure
Develop, integrate, and implement (or lead) engineering technical program plans including impacts, risks, and incorporation of lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions
Apply knowledge of interface and integration constraints for complex systems to identify and analyze hardware, software, product, and system impacts to effectively define integrated change proposals
Assure integration of product elements and resolve complex issues with engineering product structure
Demonstrate knowledge of government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., estimating system manual, FAR, DFAR, TINA, ITAR, Procurement Integrity, Export Compliance) related to cost proposal development
Understand proposal, accounting, and rate development processes (common systems)
Apply knowledge of audit, fact-finding, and negotiation processes (e.g., self-audit, internal audit, government audit, effective negotiation) and their impact on the proposal process
Ensure consistent application of Configuration and Data Management policies, processes, and program management best practices, maintaining current and accurate process documentation
Interpret contract requirements, especially Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL)
Understand the big picture and inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another. Apply systems thinking principles to anticipate future events and accelerate performance
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in related field
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical content expertise
Experience with government programs, projects, or platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills for data processing
General knowledge of data management processes including basic understanding of CDRL and contract requirements
Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., 'used on' drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems)
Ability to understand and interpret contract requirements, especially CDRL content related to Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product data management, configuration management, or related engineering data roles
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics) and understanding of how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., operations, logistics, business)
Familiarity with relational database languages and tools such as SQL Server or MySQL
Familiarity with application development languages and tools such as C-Sharp, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
