Senior Technical Writer
Cypress HCM is a leading data company looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join their rapidly expanding team. This role involves creating product documentation for their innovative Data Cloud, collaborating with engineers and product managers to ensure comprehensive documentation of features and updates.

Responsibilities
Create online guides, reference docs, and tutorials for technical audiences (SQL engineers, application developers, etc)
Engage directly with product managers, software engineers, and UI designers to ensure all features, enhancements, and changes are fully documented
Work with release engineers and DevOps to deliver weekly product updates and documentation
Qualification
Required
5+ years creating technical product documentation from scratch, as well as from specs
Strong familiarity with data ingestion/pipelines (ELT, streaming, etc.), storage (Iceberg, Data Lake, etc.), and transformation
Strong SQL and RDBMS skills (Oracle, Teradata, Redshift, SQL Server, etc); comfortable working with sample code
Strong familiarity with 'Docs-as-Code' approach, specifically: Source code control using GIT for branching, content review and merging etc
Documentation languages such as RST, Markdown, etc. Preferably RST
Exposure to using and documenting one or more of the following areas: E-commerce products, Data and application marketplaces, including producers/providers, consumers, and marketplace listings, User interfaces (UI) and command line interfaces (CLI) technologies
In-depth knowledge of the content development lifecycle, including: Identifying and understanding the information needs of the audience, Gathering information, interviewing SMEs, and conducting research, Authoring, publishing, and managing online/web content
Preferred
Familiarity with: Security, access control, identity and access management (IAM), and data privacy/governance (OAuth, RBAC, SCIM, encryption, etc)
Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, etc)
Programming languages/APIs (Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, C#/.NET, etc)
Big Data analytics, machine learning, and statistics (Spark, Scala, R, etc)
CI/CD methodologies and technologies (Jenkins, Lambda, etc)
