Associate Attorney - Virgin Islands
ALAW is a comprehensive, nationwide law firm providing efficient legal representation to large financial institutions. They are seeking an Associate Attorney who will handle a significant volume of creditor's rights cases and engage in various legal responsibilities while contributing to the firm's growth and community involvement.

Responsibilities
The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Virgin Island Bar
Applications will be accepted from newly licensed attorneys, 5+ years of litigation experience
The candidate must be able and willing to handle a significant volume of cases within the field of creditor's rights
The candidate must be familiar with resolving issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution
Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code are preferred
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, written and verbal communication skills, and must be willing to assist in growing the firm’s presence as a top-performing firm
The candidate must value reputation and be willing to proactively develop relationships in the industry to be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor by both clients and colleagues
Court appearances will be required, and some attendant travel may be required
The candidate must be familiar with the Virgin Islands legal system, and must exhibit a commitment to superior client support, confidence, and unfettered judgment
Qualification
Required
Member in good standing of the Virgin Island Bar
Newly licensed attorneys or 5+ years of litigation experience
Ability and willingness to handle a significant volume of cases within the field of creditor's rights
Familiarity with resolving issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to assist in growing the firm's presence as a top-performing firm
Value reputation and willingness to proactively develop relationships in the industry
Court appearances will be required
Some attendant travel may be required
Familiarity with the Virgin Islands legal system
Exhibit a commitment to superior client support, confidence, and unfettered judgment
Bar License in the state VI (Required)
Preferred
Appellate experience
