Responsibilities
Develop, conduct, implement, manage, and witness commissioning and startup testing procedures for water and wastewater infrastructure in municipal contracts, ensuring optimal system performance while managing the allocated budget and schedule
Review drawings and specifications for constructability, operability, functionality, compliance, and identify value engineering opportunities
Represent and advocate for clients, including Owners, Design Engineers, and Contractors, at design and construction meetings
Manage training schedules and onsite coordination of C&SU activities
Develop comprehensive C&SU plans, schedules, and testing procedures
Analyze construction submittals and test procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
5+ years of hands-on experience in commissioning water and wastewater infrastructure
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing commissioning and startup procedures for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls
Field and office experience, including working with design engineers, operators, and construction teams
Proven time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Willingness to travel within the lower continental US and work under a structured rotation that typically includes two weeks onsite at a project location, followed by a weekend at home, before returning for the next two‑week onsite period. Travel cycles may repeat for the duration of the project
Candidates must currently reside in the Austin or Las Vegas metropolitan areas or be willing to relocate to one of these markets
Preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer in any state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states via reciprocity
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Project, and Primavera P6
Demonstrated ability to interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), as well as Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and Communications schematics, with a clear understanding of their application in field installations
Hands-on experience using diagnostic and testing equipment for electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation systems and components
Supervisory level water/wastewater operator license in any state, with the ability to obtain licensure in TX and/or NV
Previous experience in Texas and/or Nevada
